Sphinx boss swoops for trio

Coventry Editorial 1st Aug, 2019   0

SPHINX manager Lee Knibbs has reinforced his squad with the signings of Ryan Caputo, Lewis Noon and Aaron Whitmore ahead of Saturday’s Midlands Football League Premier Division opener against Tividale.

Caputo, a product of the Sphinx youth system, spent the whole of last season at the club as he stepped up his recovery from a long-term injury.

The midfielder then showcased enough quality in pre-season to convince Knibbs to sign him for the forthcoming campaign.

Arriving from Bedworth United is Noon, a goal-scoring central midfielder who shone at under-21 level for his former employers before making the step up to the first team in the Southern Premier Division Central.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old full-back Whitmore joins Sphinx following his release from Coventry City’s academy at the end of last season.

Whitmore is renowned for his attacking bursts down the flank, and will offer support going forward for Knibbs’ side.

Player sponsorship is available for the trio, contact [email protected] for enquiries.
