WASPS trio Alfie Barbeary, Joe Launchbury and Jack Willis have been called up to England’s 36-man training squad ahead of their tour to Australia this summer.
Barbeary is yet to make his senior England debut, despite being included in the Six Nations squad earlier this year, and has enjoyed an impressive season with 11 tries in 16 appearances in all competitions.
Launchbury made a remarkable return to the international stage during the Six Nations in March, having missed the previous nine months with an ACL injury and only made his Premiership comeback at the end of January.
And Willis also earned an England recall after his own injury struggles, battling back from a knee injury he sustained in the 2021 Six Nations campaign to earn a call up for the last game of this year’s edition.
England coach Eddie Jones has left out a number of senior players with uncapped pair Henry Arundell and Will Joseph included.
