COVENTRY Rugby have confirmed three friendly matches as part of the club’s pre-season schedule ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Alex Rae’s side will take on Premiership side Exeter Chiefs along with Champ rivals Caldy and Colywn Bay-based RGC 1404.

Coventry begin pre-season with a home match against Rygbi Gogledd Cymru (RGC) 1404.

RGC are the regional representative team for the North Wales Rugby Development Region.

They compete in the top domestic league in Wales.

Coventry will host RGC on Saturday, August 30 with kick-off at 3pm at Butts Park Arena.

And Rae’s side will then entertain Caldy on Saturday, September 13 with kick-off at 3pm.

Coventry finish pre-season with a home game against the Chiefs on Saturday, September 20 with kick-off at 3pm.

Exeter won the Premiership and European Champions Cup double in the 2019/20 season.

Rae said: “It’s brilliant to have three home fixtures to get excited about and look forward to.

“They’ll give the fans a great opportunity to connect with the new squad and get to know the new players.

“That connection between players and fans will play a huge role in what we aim to achieve next season.”
