Poor form continues for Bablake as Barby skittle Old Boys out for 107

Coventry Editorial 5th Sep, 2017   0

CRICKET: A POOR display with the bat ensured Bablake’s poor end to the 2017 season continued as they lost by nine wickets to Barby.

Bablake’s tone was set when opener Luke De Souza fell for a duck while fellow opener Mark Eames made only three.

Though Ross Arnold (22) and Adil Hussain (27) helped steady Bablake’s innings, they – along with Martyn Morris (10) – were the only men to reach double figures as Bablake crashed to 107 all out from 48 long overs.

Barby wasted no time in knocking off the required 108 in reply as Craig Scott (39) was the only man to fall.

Barby picked up all 20 points on offer for their efforts.
