It’s all over here at Bramall Lane. The Sky Blues have fallen to a 23rd defeat of the season away at promotion-chasing Sheffield United. Two former City players Leon Clarke and John Fleck get the goals.

FOUR MINUTES OF ADDED ON TIME..

89 – Hansen rolls Turnbull on the edge of the area but flashes his half volley well wide. 2-0

86 – Yellow card for shown to John Fleck for a late foul on Tudgay. 2-0

82 – Lameiras has the ball in the back of the net for the Sky Blues but he was in an offside position. Still 2-0

81 – O’Shea almost makes an instant impact as he shoots over the bar from the edge of the area. 2-0

78 – Substitutes for both sides. Sunday’s cup final hero George Thomas comes in for Haynes and Blades striker Sharp is replaced by O’Shea

75 – GOAL FOR SHEFFIELD UNITED! John Fleck scores against his former club! The midfielder takes the ball around Bigirimana and is allowed to run with the ball towards the edge of the box before slotting a right-footed shot into the bottom corner. 2-0

72 – A neat passing move by the Sky Blues sees Stokes play in Haynes down the left and he whips in a dangerous cross but there is no City player able to get a touch on it. 1-0

69 – GOAL FOR SHEFFIELD UNITED! Leon Clarke fires the home side in front! A ball is played towards the back post and former City striker Clarke is unmarked to fire home a simple tap in. 1-0

65 – Winger Jones is proving a real handful for the Blades defence. He’s picked out again down the right and goes down inside the box but no penalty is given despite strong claims from the City man and supporters behind the goal. 0-0

63 – Jones is found again down the right, he moves into the penalty box and shoots but his effort his blocked for a corner. 0-0

61 – Jones is putting a very good shift in down the right. Looking dangerous going forward and doing his defensive duties too. 0-0

58 – BIG CHANCE! The ball bounces kindly to Lameiras by the penalty spot and but he volleys straight at Moore when perhaps he should have done better. 0-0

55 – The home supporters are on their feet celebrating as Sharp fires home past Burge but his goal ruled out because of an offside infringement. 0-0

53 – Double change for the Blades – Duffy off for Carruthers and former Sky Blues striker Leon Clarke is on for Wright

This evening’s attendance is 24, 334 (308 Sky Blue Army)

49 – Bigirimana takes the ball towards the penalty area, holds the ball up well before passing to Jones who sends a left-footed shot over the bar. 0-0

The players are making their way out onto the pitch for the second half…

HALF-TIME Sheffield United 0-0 Coventry City

ONE MINUTED OF ADDED ON TIME…

45+1 – Jones gets to the byline and hits a deep cross which is headed back across the face of goal by Haynes but a Blades defender clears the danger. 0-0

43 – The Blades are seeing plenty of the ball but at the moment they are struggling to break down a well organised Sky Blues defence. 0-0

36 – Yellow card for Bigirimana following a late tackle on Lafferty. 0-0

34 – Tudgay wins possession back in the middle of the park. The ball falls to Haynes who runs at the Blades defence and shoots but his effort takes a deflection and it’s a routine save for Moore. Much better from the visitors. 0-0

27 – Still 0-0 here and you can sense the home supporters are getting a little frustrated with their side.

23 – BIG CHANCE! Fleck cuts the ball across goal for Hansen who fires over from five yards out. It was a bad miss, the hosts should be in front but it remains 0-0 here at Bramall Lane.

19 – Duffy cuts in from the left and hits a dangerous ball towards the far post but it is too long for Hanson. 0-0

17 – BIG CHANCE! Lafferty receives the ball on the edge of the area and hits an excellent low shot that had Burge beaten but his effort drifts inches wide of goal. The Blades very much on top now. 0-0

16 – Another superb long ball forward by Fleck and Hanson has a glance at goal but his low shot is gathered comfortably by Burge. A warning sign for the visitors. 0-0

14 – The hosts now starting to see more of the ball and are enjoying plenty of possession, backed by a very vocal support. Fleck pings a superb 40-yard pass to Sharpe who crosses but Burge catches the ball well. 0-0

9 – First chance of the match falls to the Sky Blues. Another neat move on the edge of the box ends with Bigirimana hitting a long range shot narrowly over the bar. 0-0

7 – It’s been a positive start by the Sky Blues. Confidence is high and you can see that in their passing. Still no attempts on goal for either side yet. 0-0

3 – A dodgy pass back by Coutts has Blades keeper Moore panicking but he takes control of the ball. 0-0
