ICE HOCKEY - Coventry Blaze to return to the ice this weekend after matches postponed following death of Adam Johnson

COVENTRY Blaze have agreed to return to the ice this weekend following the tragic death of Elite League player Adam Johnson.

Blaze head coach Danny Stewart consulted with his players who expressed their wish to return to playing Elite League fixtures this weekend.

Nottingham Panthers forward Johnson died after suffering a cut to his neck from a skate during his side’s Elite League game against Sheffield Steelers last weekend.




All games taking place this weekend will feature appropriate and fitting tributes to Johnson.

Coventry return to the ice against Dundee Stars on Saturday, November 4 with the face-off at 7pm at the Skydome Arena.


Blaze then make the return trip to Dundee on Sunday, November 5 with the face-off at 5pm at Dundee Ice Arena.
