COVENTRY Blaze have confirmed the signing of Ukrainian forward Artem Buzoverya for the 2025/26 Elite League season.

The 25-year-old centreman joins Blaze from Bentley University (NCAA) where he recorded 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 32 games last term.

The 6ft 3in forward impressed in the face-off circle with a 57.4 win percentage, securing 206 draws, as Bentley enjoyed a successful run to the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) Championship.

Blaze head coach, Kevin Moore said: “Artem is a big, strong presence on the ice who plays a smart, heavy game.

“He protects the puck exceptionally well and makes plays under pressure.

“He’s responsible in all three zones and defends hard down low, which will make him a key piece in our structure.

“We’re looking forward to the impact he’ll have on both ends of the ice this season.”

He also received the Falcon Award, alongside another Bentley player, for his selflessness, dedication and team-first presence

Prior to Bentley, Buzoverya played three seasons with Hobart College (NCAA III), where he totalled 70 points (20 goals, 50 assists) in 90 games.

He helped Hobart claim back-to-back NCAA III National and NEHC Championships (2023 and 2024), and served as assistant captain in both title-winning years.

Buzoverya enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2023/24 as he earned a place in the AHCA All-America East Second Team won the NEHC player of the year award and claimed the tournament MVP prize.

He also finished as runner-up for the prestigious Sid Watson Award presented annually to the top NCAA Division III player in the country.

On the international stage, Buzoverya has represented Ukraine at under-18 and under-20 level in the IIHF World Junior Division 1B competition.

He will wear the number 28 jersey for Blaze in the Elite League this season.
