COVENTRY Blaze have announced the return of Canadian forward Alessio Luciani for the 2025/26 Elite League season.
The 26-year-old registered 66 points (30 goals, 36 assists) across 66 Elite League competition games last term.
His performances earned him a place in the Elite League’s second all-star team.
Luciani registered 59 points in league play to rank joint-third amongst all players while his 27 league goals saw him place joint-fourth.
Luciani said: “I am so thankful and appreciative to be returning for another year.
“From top to bottom within the organisation, to the fans and everyone else in-between Coventry is top notch.
“I’m excited to continue to build on what we started last season.”
Blaze head coach, Kevin Moore added: “Alessio’s determination to keep getting better has translated into him becoming one of the more dynamic centremen in our league.
“He brings great puck skills that help make his linemates better, and a grit that allows him to get to the hard areas to score goals.
“His growth mindset will be a great asset to our group, and I am excited to see him grow as a leader this season.”
Luciani joined Blaze ahead of the 2023/24 season and enjoyed a stellar first year in professional hockey.
He scored 21 goals and provided 16 assists in 63 games across the regular season and Challenge Cup.
Prior to joining Coventry, Luciani played four seasons at Adrian College in NCAA Division III.
Current Blaze boss Moore coached Luciani during the 2019/20 campaign.
