GUSTAVO HAMER has been named as Coventry City’s Player of the Year in recognition of his superb performances this season.
The Brazilian is a fan favourite at the Coventry Building Society Arena and has reportedly attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Hamer scored three goals and provided nine assists in 37 league appearances this season and won the top award voted for by the Coventry City supporters.
Elsewhere, Sweden international Viktor Gyokeres won the Players’ Player of the Year award after scoring 18 goals in all competitions having made a permanent switch to the club following a loan spell last season.
His form in front of goal also secured the Swede the Top Goalscorer as he finished five ahead of nearest challenger Matty Godden.
Homegrown midfielder Jordan Shipley won the Goal of the Season award for his thunderous strike against Queens Park Rangers back in January.
And Young Player of the Year, decided by the coaching staff, was given to Ian Maatsen with the Chelsea loanee enjoying an impressive season at left wing-back.
Callum O’Hare won the JSB Player of the Year award whilst Ben Sheaf took the Family Zone Player of the Year.
Young striker Fabio Tavares won the Development Squad Player of the Year with Ryan Howley named as Academy Player of the Season.
Captain Liam Kelly won the prize for the Community Player of the Year and also won the PFA Community Player award for the Sky Blues.
