FRANK Lampard’s former Chelsea teammate Geremi has backed the Coventry City head coach to reach the very top of the game as a manager.

Geremi played with Lampard for four seasons at Chelsea from 2003 to 2007 during which time the Blues won two Premier League titles and the Community Shield.

And Geremi believes Lampard will reach the top of the game again as a manager following an impressive spell in charge of the Sky Blues.

Geremi was speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest FIFA Club World Cup betting odds, and said: “There is no doubt that Frank Lampard will be a Premier League manager again.

“We have seen that he plays good football and he is still young and learning the game.

“He has gone into management and he has already taken several jobs to show that he can be a success.

“He has so many years of coaching left and he will go to the top with a big club again, he has that quality.”

The versatile defender and midfielder made 118 appearances for his native Cameroon.

He won Olympic gold and two African Cup of Nations titles with Cameroon.

Geremi also spent three seasons with Real Madrid prior to joining Chelsea.

He won the Champions League twice with Los Blancos and also claimed the La Liga title.
