COVENTRY United Women have confirmed the appointment of Lee Burch as the club’s new head coach.
Burch has previously managed Millwall, Yeovil and London Bees in the top two tiers of Women’s football.
He has previously won the WSL2 Manager of the Year award and guided London Bees to a fifth-placed finish in the Championship.
Burch has been working with the Hampshire Football Association since departing the Bees in February 2021.
Burch told BBC Sport: “I am really pleased and excited to be joining Coventry United.
“After speaking with [owner] Lewis Taylor and others at the club I felt a good connection and opportunity.
“Last season was a well-documented tough year but I believe the foundations and structure are starting to be laid at the club to help it be a success. I believe I can be a part of that.
“This will be a transitional year with the changes but I’m looking forward to the challenge and being back in the Championship for another exciting season for everyone after the impact of the Euros.”
He replaces Jay Bradford in the Butts Park Arena dugout after the former Red and Greens boss guided the club to a great escape to preserve their Championship status on the final day of the season.
