COVENTRY City under-21s returned to winning ways after securing a 2-1 victory away at Wigan Athletic.
A brace from Kai Yearn earned the points for the Sky Blues after Cole Simms had levelled the game for Wigan.
The result means Coventry’s youngsters sit fifth in the Professional Development League North standings.
City made the perfect start as Yearn broke the deadlock with the game just two minutes old.
However, Wigan drew level on 77 minutes when Simms found the net.
The young Sky Blues reclaimed the lead five minutes from time as Yearn doubled his tally for the game to snatch the points for City.
Coventry’s under-21s are next in action against Swansea City on Friday, April 25 with kick-off at 1.30pm at the Alan Higgs Centre.
