COVENTRY City have confirmed the signing of veteran forward Jamie Paterson on a free transfer.
Paterson has trained with the Sky Blues for the last few weeks and has signed a deal until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old is a Coventry supporter and grew up in Henley Green.
Sky Blues head coach, Frank Lampard said: “I’m really pleased to have Jamie join us.
“He has great experience and is a quality player.
“He is a really good addition for us and gives us competition in attacking areas with his versatility.”
Paterson made his professional debut for Walsall as a teenager and made over 100 appearances for the Saddlers during a three-season spell.
He moved up a division to sign for Nottingham Forest where he spent the next three seasons, including a spell on loan at Huddersfield Town.
Paterson then completed a permanent move to Bristol City where he scored 26 goals in 157 appearances during a five-season stay at Ashton Gate
He later joined Swansea City, making over 100 appearances for the Swans and scoring 17 goals over the course of three seasons.
Paterson made the move to Charlotte FC in the MLS in August 2024 but made just four appearances for the American side.
He has made just shy of 500 career appearances scoring 82 goals.
