FOOTBALL - Coventry City players called up for international duty

COVENTRY City have seen five of their players called up for international duty.

Sky Blues defender Joel Latibeadiere played in midfield as Jamaica lost 1-0 to USA in the first leg of their CONCACAF National League quarter-final.

The second leg takes place on Tuesday, November 19 with kick-off at 1am in St Louis, Missouri.

Full-back Jay Dasilva hopes to add to his two senior caps for Wales as Craig Bellamy’s side prepare to take on Turkey and Iceland in the UEFA Nations League.

Young striker Norman Bassette is hoping to represent Belgium at under-21 level for the first time.

He hopes to feature in a pair of European Championship qualifying matches against Czech Republic.




Youngsters Kai Andrews (Wales under-19s) and Aidan Dausch (USA under-19s) have also received call-ups.

Academy players Eliot Meredith (Wales under-17s) and Constantine Panayiotou (Cyprus under-19s) could also feature for their respective countries.
