COVENTRY City’s fixtures for the 2022/23 season have been released with a trip to newly-promoted Sunderland awaiting Mark Robins’ side on the opening day.
The Sky Blues begin their campaign on Sunday, July 31 and will travel to the Stadium of Light to a face a Black Cats side who were promoted from League One via the play-offs last season.
And the game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports with kick-off at 12pm.
City’s first home game of the season takes place the following weekend against another promoted side in Rotherham United.
Coventry’s last home fixture is against Midlands rivals Birmingham City before returning to the North East on the final day to play Middlesbrough.
