COVENTRY triathlete Anita Howe secured fifth place overall in her age category at the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final in Australia.
The Do3 club member was one of more than 5,000 of the world’s best elite and age group triathletes at the Gold Coast.
Howe, the only European competitor in the top ten, started with a 1,500m swim followed by a 40km bike ride and then a 10km run.
The race adds to her podium place at this year’s Tartu ETU Triathlon European Championships along with a series of domestic race wins over the 2018 season.
Closer to home at Ragley Hall, fellow Coventrian and Do3 member Guy Bicknell took third in his age group and sixth overall.
