Coventry Editorial 7th Aug, 2017   0

FOOTBALL: COVENTRY City Football Club expect a deal to be struck ‘very soon’ with Premier League giants Leicester City regarding the possible move of star striker George Thomas.

Thomas, who helped the Sky Blues to their first win at Wembley in 30 years just four months ago, has been subject of many off-field talks throughout the summer.

The 20-year-old, who was born in Leicester, made his professional debut for the Sky Blues in 2014 and has since appeared for the club 36 times – scoring seven goals.

During this summer, Thomas featured in Wales’ Under 20s squad at the 2017 Toulon Tournament.

He scored two goals on his Under 20s debut in a 2-2 draw against the Ivory Coast before Wales were eliminated during the group stages.
