RUGBY LEAGUE: COVENTRY Bears are back in action again this weekend at the Butts Park Arena following a two-week break.
Following a tough start to the 2017 season, the Bears won their last fixture against Oxford.
On Sunday (3pm kick-off) they face long established Yorkshire team Keighley Cougars.
And coach Tom Tsang is in a positive mood ahead of the weekend’s home game.
He said: “That win against Oxford did wonders for our confidence. Everything fell into place, now we have to do the same again, and a little bit more, against Keighley who are a quality side.
“Keighley are in the top third of the table having won three of their first five league games, and it is against sides like this that we have to measure our progress.”
Bears have partnered with Age UK Coventry – a leading local charity – for the game to raise awareness of their work.
The club has also announced ticket prices have been reduced for Sunday’s game, with the usual adult ticket costing £9 instead of £12.
Bears owner Alan Robinson is hoping the ticket price reduction will encourage fans to bring someone along with them, or for others to come along for the first time and enjoy the friendship and spirit of the game.
