COVENTRY City striker and fans’ favourite Max Biamou has signed a new three-year contract with the club.
The 27-year-old joined last summer from non-league Sutton United, and went on to make 49 appearances as the Sky Blues won promotion from League Two.
A hard-working but dry first half on the season in terms of scoring goals was followed by a stunning second half of the season when his industry was matched by spectacular goals, including two overhead kicks, one in the play-off semi-final at Notts County where he bagged two priceless goals.
That second half of the season saw him sharing the forward berth alongside top scorer Marc McNulty with Jonson Clarke-Harris.
The CCFC website states: “He netted 9 goals, hitting excellent form at the back end of the campaign, and the popular forward was awarded the Goal of the Season accolade for his effort against Yeovil Town in April – one of several spectacular goals by Biamou.
“With preparations underway for the 2018/19 League One season, the Frenchman’s new deal extends his Sky Blues contract up until June 2021.”
