COVENTRY Blaze will open their Elite Ice Hockey League season with a double-header against Sheffield Steelers, when the new campaign gets underway in September.
A visit to the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield on Saturday September 7 (7pm) will allow Danny Stewart’s new-look side to take to the ice for the first time, before entertaining their home crowd at the Skydome Arena the following day (5.30pm).
Blaze then host Fife Flyers on Saturday September 14, before visiting Guildford Flames for the club’s first involvement in the Challenge Cup on Sunday (September 15).
Stewart’s side head north of the border for an away double-header in Scotland in October when facing Dundee Stars on Saturday 19, followed by a trip to Glasgow Clan on Sunday 20.
Six home games in December will be sure to provide plenty of festive cheer for Coventry fans, with a visit to Nottingham Panthers on Boxing Day (4pm) and the return fixture at the Skydome on Saturday December 28 awaiting them.
EIHL champions Cardiff Devils are the visitors for the final game of the year on New Year’s Eve, before the Blaze head to South Wales for the reverse fixture on New Year’s Day.
A double-header in Northern Ireland follows on Saturday (January 4) and Sunday (January 5) against the 2018/19 regular season champions Belfast Giants – who Blaze finish off their regular season against on Sunday March 29 at the Skydome.
