M.I.RACING came away from the Midlands Cyclo Cross Series awards evening with no fewer than seven accolades last Friday in Stafford.

Former British senior and veteran champion Steve Knight showed he is far from ‘over the hill’ after winning the season-long Championship for riders aged 45-49.

Peter Busby also impressed for the Coventry-based cycling club by winning the 50-54 age year Championship, while John Gabriel was victorious in the Championship for riders aged 65-69.

Kirby Bennett finished runner-up in the 55-59 Championship and Martine Verweij also came second in the Ladies Veteran Championship, while Keir Lewis came third in the Junior Championships.

There was also success for Enya Tabram, formerly of Coventry Road Club, who took third spot in the Ladies under-23 Championship.

M.I.Racing will be holding their team launch event this Saturday morning at 10.30am at Merchant House in Binley Business Park. For more details email [email protected].
