COVENTRY GODIVA HARRIERS AC had two athletes competing at the British Indoor Athletics Championships in Birmingham this past weekend.
Godiva’s Jake Minshull and (Dr) Charlie Roe were both in action at Arena Birmingham with both athletes competing in their first senior championships.
Minshull competed in the 800 metres heats and led for the first half of the race before being run into fourth in a time of 1 minutes 53 seconds.
The two fastest qualifiers for the final were also in his heat with Minshull, who was five years younger than his competitors, gaining great experience at the event.
And Roe competed in the 60 metre hurdles only to hit the first barrier to lose momentum and was disqualified after pushing over the final hurdle in frustration.
