MORE than 700 new home Coventry City shirts have been sold in just two days of sale, the club says.
The kit has been well received by fans since its launch on Friday, following mixed feelings about last season’s unusually designed home kit.
The club said today sales are more than double those of the first two days of sale last season.
CCFC said shirts were sold out briefly on Sunday evening, but were today back in stock across all adult, youth and junior sizes online.
A new delivery of kits will be in the Club Shop tomorrow (Tuesday). Infant kits will be available later this month.
Dave Boddy, Chief Executive at Coventry City, said: “We are delighted with the response from fans, both in terms of the comments we’ve had and the sales over the weekend.
“Fans fed back to the club in February that they wanted an all Sky Blue home kit, and we’re very happy that we could give them the kit they wanted and that they like the new design.
“We’ll be working with our retail partners JustSport and Nike to make sure that the stock levels are kept up to ensure fans have the kit they want so they can show their support in the build up to the new season.
“The Kit Launch and Evening with Mark Robins on Friday was a great event, and we’d like to thank each of the over 300 fans who attended. It was an enjoyable night for everyone involved and gave the Manager and players the chance to meet the fans, which is vital.
“We look forward to holding more events like this in the future.”
