Watch Santa's Christmas Rescue online at home as live theatre cancelled in Coventry

WITH Coventry remaining in Tier 3, the city’s Belgrade Theatre has moved its pre-schoolers Christmas show online.

Instead of meeting and greeting audiences at the theatre this year, the stars of Santa’s Christmas Rescue – Santa, Rudolph and Ellie the Elf – families can now book a watch at home ticket

The latest in Imagine Theatre’s hugely popular Santa series for very young children aged two+ is not only filled with songs and laughter, but features Belgrade panto legend Iain Lauchlan as Santa himself.

Anyone, who booked for live performances will be given the option to watch the show at home and collect their Christmas present from the Belgrade’s takeaway counter.

Tickets are also still available for this year’s online panto, Jack and the Beanstalk, starring comedy double-act Iain Lauchlan and Craig Hollingsworth, until Thursday December 31.

Specially created for the screen, it is sets in Prickly Bottom, where the Covid 17 ¾ lockdown is being made even worse by a greedy giant and his slippery henchman, Fleshcreep. Once you have booked a watch at home ticket, you’ll be able to watch the show whenever you like until the end of the month.

And if you cannot wait for 2020 to be over, join the Belgrade for a free virtual New Year’s Eve party. Head to the theatre’s website on Thursday December 31 at 11pm and listen to a live band banging out classic songs from across the decades as the countdown to midnight begins.

Book a watch at home ticket for Santa’s Christmas Rescue directly here: www.imaginetheatre.co.uk or for Jack and the Beanstalk online go to: www.belgrade.co.uk.
