A VAN rolled over, throwing gas bottles all over the road, after a crash on a Coventry roundabout.
The incident took place at the island near Junction 2 of the M6 and the A4600, just before 11am, yesterday (Tuesday). An ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said crews arrived to find a car and a flatbed van had collided.
The van had rolled over and the gas bottles it was carrying were spread across the road, with some being found as far as 70 metres away. Fortunately the gas bottles were all empty at the time of the crash.
The driver of the van, a man believed to be in his 30s, was treated on the scene by medics for multiple minor cuts and bruises. He was discharged and did not require further treatment.
The woman driving the car, believed to be in her 40s, was not injured in the crash.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Considering the circumstances of the crash the man in the van was fortunate not to have suffered more serious injuries.”
