A FREE lunchtime recital will be given at Coventry Cathedral on Easter Monday, April 18, to raise funds for the Ukraine appeal.
The 45-minute concert – featuring the Verkhovjna Male Voice Choir – was the brainchild of the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Coun John McNicholas.
The recital will see the choir present a moving programme of Ukrainian songs and they will be joined by aspiring professional Russian violinist Kseniia Kalugina.
Kseniia, who was born in Russia, is keen to support the humanitarian appeal to help support those suffering in Ukraine.
All proceeds from donations given at the Cathedral during the fund-raiser will go to the Ukraine Emergency Appeal.
Visit coventrycathedral.org.uk/wpsite/ukraine-appeal-concert/ for more on the recital and the music being performed.
