Coventry Editorial 28th Apr, 2020   0

TWO teenagers have been charged with attempted murder over a fight in which a boy was stabbed in the back.

Officers were called to Chapelhouse Road, Solihull, at 2.40pm on Sunday (April 26) following reports of a nearby disorder.

A 16-year-old boy was found with a serious knife wound to the back. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

One man was arrested at the scene while another was detained later at his home address.

Last night, police charged Tobias Hollingsworth (18) from Kinghurst Way and 19-year-old Connor Sheedy from Schofield Road – both in Kingshurst – with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.

They are due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.

A 14-year-old boy, from Kingshurst, was also arrested in connection with the violence. He has been bailed to return for more questioning next month.

Police enquiries continue and anyone with information is asked to contact the force via Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
