Trip of a lifetime for Sky Blues fans

WHILE most of us have enjoyed this year’s World Cup from the comfort of our own home, several residents and Sky Blues fans made the long trip over to Brazil for one of the biggest sporting events on the planet.

England may have left the party early after failing to progress out of the group stage of the competition for the first time since 1958, but that didn’t stop an army of fans enjoying the trip of a lifetime at what many are describing as the best World Cup ever.

And as this year’s competition draws to a close this Sunday, the Observer has collected the best images of fans and people from the city who enjoyed the once-in-a-lifetime spectacle.
