A PERSON was seriously injured in a crash between a car and a lorry.
It happened around 3pm on the London Road.
London Road will be closed for some time between the Ryton interchange and Tollbar Island and drivers are also being urged to avoid Rowley Road, at the junction of Siskin Road.
