Coventry Editorial 15th Dec, 2020 Updated: 16th Dec, 2020   0

RAIL passengers travelling to and from Coventry faced major disruption on Tuesday following a train derailment in the early hours of the morning.

The incident happened at a depot in the city around 1am so there were no passengers on board as it was not in service at the time.

But led to delays and cancellations between Coventry, Nuneaton and Leamington.

A West Midlands Railway spokesperson said “The unit was removed and then things got back to normal on the lines.”

The operator urged anyone delayed by 15 minutes or more to  claim compensation via the delay-repay scheme.

Visit www.westmidlandsrailway.co.uk/delayrepay to claim.
