Three teenagers arrested in stolen car in Coventry on suspicion of drug, vehicle and weapon offences

THREE teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of drug, vehicle and weapon offences after police stopped a stolen car in Coventry.

The two aged 16 and a 17-year-old were held following the incident in Whitley in the early hours of yesterday morning.

West Midlands Police used a stinger to stop the vehicle in its tracks after being alerted by officers from Warwickshire Police.

The trio, all from Coventry, fled but were caught and were arrested nearby.




Following the arrests officers seized suspected cannabis, class A drugs, and a large knife.

The 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.


The 17-year-old boy was held on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

And the other 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis, possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, possession of a knife and failing to stop.

All three suspects have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
