Coventry Editorial 7th Aug, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

THE SUN eventually galloped its way into the sky as thousands turned out for the 2014 Donkey Derby on Saturday.

Coventry’s Leofric Lions hosted the event in Memorial Park with an emphasis on entertainment for all ages.

It was the 46th consecutive year the event has been held.

Five donkey races took place while stalls and other activities, including a funfair, helped entertain youngsters throughout the afternoon.

The event was held with the aim of raising cash for the Warwickshire Air Ambulance.
