THREE young defendants have entered pleas of not guilty to the murder of 15-year-old Coventry teen Babacar Diagne in February.

Babacar, who had been riding a mountain bike in the Wood End area of Coventry prior to the attack, suffered multiple knife wounds, according to a post-mortem examination.

He was found collapsed  on a grassed area off Pettitor Crescent during the evening of February 5.

A 17-year-old teenager and two 16-year-olds, who are all male and cannot be named because of their ages, entered their pleas at Coventry Crown Court.

The first coronavirus lockdown disrupted the initial court hearings of the three teenagers.

They are set to go on trial at Warwick Crown Court on Monday November 16.
