Sky Blues to kick-off League One campaign against Scunthorpe United

COVENTRY City will kick-off their League One campaign against Scunthorpe United at the Ricoh Arena.

On their return to English football’s third division, Mark Robins’ men will face Nicky Daws’ promotion hopefuls on Saturday, August 4.

The first trip on the road for the Sky Blues will see them travel to AFC Wimbledon at Kingsmeadow on Saturday, August 11.

For those anticipating the busy Christmas period, City will face a difficult trip to Shrewsbury Town away on the December 22.

They will then entertain Charlton Athletic on Boxing Day at the Ricoh, before hosting Southend United just three days later.

New Year’s Day will see the Sky Blue Army venture to Adams Park to face Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe Wanderers.

The final home game of he season will be against John Askey’s Shrewsbury Town on April 27, while the final fixture of the campaign will be against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, May 4 at the Keepmoat Stadium.
