Simz hits 340,000 streams of new single 'Main Gabru'

COVENTRY Punjabi music artist Simz Singh has reached over 340,000 streams on YouTube with the release of his new song, ‘Main Gabru’.

It was released by Coventry record label Epic Studio’s LTD UK on the company’s YouTube page in October.

The musician, aged 33, grew up in Amritsar Punjab in India, starting his career in 2006 before moving to Mumbai in 2008 where he worked as a music programmer for a TV series, Mata Ki Chowki.

In 2014 Simz moved to the UK and he released his first music video – Criminal – later that year, which received 129,000 views on YouTube.




Simz, whose real name is Simranjit, has since released a further three singles, with his second release – Gediyan in 2017 – also gaining upwards of 100,000 views.

He has a following of more than 18,000 people across Facebook and will be releasing his fifth single, a Punjabi UK Drill Beat song called Jatt Nale Ghora, in early April.


Simz said: “Music is like meditation for me.

“I do vocal practices almost everyday.

“I think music is the best way to connect people each other with no language barrier.”
