Shots fired during disorder in Coventry this morning

SHOTS were fired and two people were injured in Coventry in the early hours of this morning.

It broke out around 12.30am in Achal Close.

A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries to his leg.

A 17-year-old boy later went to hospital with injuries to his hand and chest that are not thought to be serious.

Police attended the incident and are carrying out CCTV enquiries.

Patrols have also been stepped up in the area to offer reassurance to residents.

No arrests have been made at this stage.
