Rock band The Libertines to perform warm up gig at The Empire tomorrow night

COVENTRY music venue The Empire has announced that English rock band, The Libertines, are set to perform at the Far Gosford Steet venue tomorrow night (January 19).

The news comes just days before the four-piece embark on their UK tour which sees the band perform at venues including Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena, Bournemouth’s BIC and the 02 in London.

Playing a key part in the garage rock revival – and spearheading the genre in the UK – The Libertines will play to an anticipated sellout crowd.

Founded in 1997, the band hit headlines with songs including Can’t Stand Me Now and Don’t Look Back Into The Sun.
