Rallying call for people to take on virtual walk for Coventry and Warwickshire's Myton Hospital

MYTON Hospice is urging supporters to put their best foot forward and take part in a virtual walk.

The charity – which cares for adults with life limiting illnesses across Coventry and Warwickshire – held its first Virtual Walk in the height of the pandemic last year.

And it wants people to pull on their trainers again on May 9 for this year’s event.

Walk for Myton is one of the hospice’s most popular events and sees hundreds of people take part to help raise vital funds.

The organisers, knowing how much supporters loved the event, created the Virtual Walk for Myton.

People are urged to walk from their home or a nearby location, staying in safe bubbles or groups as they raise funds.

Events manager Rebecca Richards said: “This is a great opportunity for you to get out for your daily exercise, remember a loved one, and enjoy some quality time alone or with your friends and family.

“We can’t wait for our events to get back to normal and enjoy them with our fabulous fund-raisers, but in the meantime we hope people will step out for the cause.

“Now, more than ever, we need your help to raise vital funds so we can continue to support those who need us most, now and in the future.”

Visit www.mytonhospice.org/walk for more information and to register – £5 for adults (£3 for children).
