MOTORISTS across the city are being warned they will be caught if they are driving their cars and vans without insurance.

It comes after four cars were seized by the Coventry North West team yesterday in the space of just a few hours.

The first one was caught around midday yesterday and the second one, just over an hour later saw the driver caught only having a provisional licence.

Then around 4pm two more were caught – a powerful Audi S3 and a VW Golf.

Those caught will be receiving fines and penalty points in the post.

Driving without insurance can land drivers with six pealty points and a fine of £300.

It comes just a fortnight after a nationwide campaign to clamp down on those using vehicles without insurance.

Operation Drive Insured was carried out by police forces across the country in the last week of October.
