TWO MEN in balaclavas grabbed a mum and tried to bundle her into a car during an attempted kidnap in Coventry.

It happened around 11.10pm last Friday as the woman pushed her son in a pram down Yarningdale Road.

The black three-door car pulled beside them close to the junction with Weymouth Close when the two men got out and tried to push her into the vehicle.

She screamed and they then left her and drove off towards St James Lane.

Sgt James Rees, from West Midlands Police CID, said: “This was really distressing for the woman and we need to work out exactly what happened.”

He urged anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area – no matter how small – to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Officers have also appealed for CCTV or dash cam footage.
