THOUSANDS of people lined Coventry streets this evening for a triumphant bus parade of the Sky Blues players.
They left the Ryton training ground at 5pm and went through residential streets at Ryton village and into Stoke, including Longfellow Road to pay their respects to Corey and Casper Platt-May, the young brothers who lost their lives there.
These pictures show the scenes before and while they arrived at Broadgate and the city centre.
Thousands joined the players in singing songs in celebration of the club’s first promotion in 51 years, after Monday’s League Two play-off win over Exeter City.
Boss Mark Robins, chief executive Dave Boddy and the players and staff then went into St Mary’s Guildhall for a civic reception hosted by the council and Lord Mayor, coun John Blundell.
