Person hit at Berkswell Station pronounced dead at the scene

A PERSON has been struck by a train at Berkswell station and pronounced dead at the scene.

British Transport Police and ambulance service were called to the scene around 1.10pm.

Officers are now working the establish the victim’s identity and inform their family.

All lines have reopened but trains will not call at Berkswell – delays of 60 minutes are expected until 5pm.
