One man shot and another injured in motorbike fall during hit and run in Coventry

TWO MEN were injured in Coventry yesterday (Monday) after a hit and run and a shooting.

Police were called to Torrington Avenue where the pair, both in their 20s, were found.

A 25-year-old man suffered a shoulder injury after falling from a motorcycle and was taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the chest with police believing that happened during an earlier incident in Jardine Crescent, he’s in a stable condition in hospital.




A white Ford Transit van thought to have been involved in both incidents has since been recovered.

Det Sgt Kelly Mills, from West Midlands Police CID, said: “Although the motive is unclear, we believe that this was a targeted attack.


“We are appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage or information about both these incidents to get in touch.

“Extra officers will be in the area over the coming days to reassure local people as our investigation continues.”
