COVENTRY City FC will have a new club shop opening at the Ricoh Arena.
The Sky Blues Club Shop – currently at the Arena Shopping Park – will move to the south-east corner of the Ricoh.
Building work on redeveloping the area, which is currently offices and other facilities, begins shortly and the new club shop is scheduled to open in July.
The club has also confirmed it is in talks with Hummel to extend the current agreement.
Chief Executive Dave Boddy said: “The opening of a new Club Shop at the Ricoh Arena, exclusively for Coventry City, is excellent news for us and our supporters.
“This will be open on matchdays and non-matchdays for supporters and will be a real presence for us at the stadium again.
“The location in the South-East corner will also be more convenient for many fans on matchdays and also on non-matchdays, being a short walk across from the Arena Shopping Park.
“We’re really looking forward to work commencing, and the shop being open in time for the start of the 21/22 season.”
Boddy added the Sky Blues had enjoyed an excellent relationship with Hummel since teaming up with them again in 2019 as its technical and retail partner.
“We have produced fantastic kits with them so far.
“The deal with Hummel currently expires at the end of 2023/24 season and we will be extending our deal with them as we develop this new shop with them too, and I’m sure all fans will welcome that news as well.”
It comes a day after Coventry City and Wasps Group agreed a ten-year deal for the club to return to the ground.
