MUSIC royalty came to Coventry College when lead singer of legendary 2-Tone band The Selecter Pauline Black OBE visited to join in with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The public services and performing arts students showcased their talents with artistic displays and parades.

The iconic singer also unveiled a Red Acer Tree and a commemorative plaque outside the college’s north building as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy.

Pauline said it was a pleasure and an hour to visit and praised the ‘fantastic’ performing arts students for their ‘great voices and dance moves’.

“I also loved the parade of inspiring young students who see a future in public service.

“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.”
