A MOTORCYCLIST who suffered serious injuries in a crash with a car in Coventry last week has died.
It has been confirmed today the 29-year-old man passed away on Sunday in hospital after the collision involving his motorbike and a car on Almond Tree Avenue last Wednesday (July 4).
Police and other emergency services were dispatched to the Wood End area of Coventry just after 8.45pm.
West Midlands Police said the driver of the car is helping them with continuing enquiries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the morning after the crash: “Ambulance crews found the rider partly under the car.
“The man was immobilised, given pain relief and had a splint applied before being taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) with the doctor travelling with the crew.
“The two occupants of the car were also assessed but were discharged on scene.”
