Mind bending Luminarium coming to Coventry's Broadgate

Coventry Editorial 14th Apr, 2022   0

BROADGATE will be home to a mind bending Luminarium this Easter half-term where residents can enjoy some enchanting views.

The Luminarium was created by artists Architects of Air and will be open from Good Friday until Sunday 24.

Luminariums are sculptures that people can engage with the concept of light.

There are seven different types of Luminarium and the one coming to Broadgate, Albesila, is a maze of 27 egg-shaped domes.

Each dome contains a magical kaleidoscope of sounds, colours and shapes, with the main dome displaying a beautiful grouping of stars creating a spiral into the heavens.

Director for business, investment and culture at Coventry City Council, Andy Williams, said: “We are always aiming to bring exciting, diverse events to Coventry and the Luminarium is certainly that.

“Just looking at the pictures of the structure, I can tell that it’s going to offer people a unique and beautiful experience.”

Tickets for the Luminarium is £4 each. Visit https://assemblyfestivalgarden.com/whats-on/luminarium to buy tickets for the Luminarium.

Those attending are being encouraged to share their photos on social media using the hashtag #CovLuminarium.
