A MAN has been taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire after suffering serious injuries to his arm following a collision with a train at Coventry Station this afternoon.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Coventry Train Station at 12.51pm today (July 12) following reports of a collision between a train and a pedestrian.

An ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance crew in a rapid response vehicle attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to discover a man who had suffered serious injuries in the incident, including to his arm.

“Following emergency treatment on scene, he was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

“The air ambulance doctor travelled with the patient to continue treatment en-route.”
