A MAN who police say made a ‘gun threat’ at a Coventry amusements arcade has been charged with attempted robbery.
Lloyd Clare, aged 37, of Warwick Road, Coventry, was arrested on July 31 following reports of a bid to rob a casino’s office in Hertford Street.
After the man tried to get in the office, he was approached a member of staff. It’s believed the man said he had a gun, although no weapon was seen.
He left empty-handed, but police then spotted a man matching a description. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery, as well as possession of cannabis.
He appeared before Coventry Magistrates Court yesterday (August 3).
