Man charged after gun and bullets found in Coventry house raid

WEST Midlands Police has charged a man with firearms offences after a handgun, bullets and a silencer were found during a Coventry house raid.

Officers executed a warrant in Lyndale Road yesterday morning (August 19) and recovered a Glock pistol and ammunition.

Two people were arrested in connection with the firearms find and last night a 23-year-old man was charged with three counts under the Firearms Act.

Coventry man Allistair McFadyen has been charged with possessing a prohibited handgun, possessing ammunition and possessing a silencer.

He is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court today.

A 24-year-old woman was also arrested by police and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
